Indian Fry Bread

2 cups self-rising flour
dash salt
2 tablespoons buttermilk water
oil for frying

Mix ingredients, and add enough warm water to make a soft dough. Let it rest at least one hour. (When making big batches, let the dough sit overnight.) Break off golf-ball-size pieces, flatten each piece, and pat in your hands until it gets saucer size. Fry in hot, deep cooking oil until brown on both sides.

Serves 6
