The DallasFort Worth area is absolutely beautiful and chock-full of diverse and unique photo op locations. There is so much to experience in the area, so why not capture those moments and save them in your memory bank?

1. Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge 

More than just being a magnificent architectural piece, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge makes for a spectacular photography background. Additionally, while in the area, you can get stunning shots of the Dallas skyline, complete with views of skyscrapers and other city landmarks.

2. Pegasus at Omni Dallas

Pegasus – Dallas’ Flying Red Horse – is an iconic symbol of the city. The original Pegasus was previously perched atop the historic Magnolia Building. In 1999, it was taken down, and a new version replaced it in 2000. In 2015, the original Pegasus was restored and now spins outside the Omni Dallas Hotel in downtown Dallas.

3. Reunion Tower

The view of Dallas is even better from the vantage point that is the Reunion Tower. Enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful Dallas cityscape from several feet above the ground. Score major bragging rights with photos from one of the most recognizable landmarks in Dallas.

4. Mandalay Canal

Mandalay Canal is a hidden gem within the Las Colinas suburb of Irving, Texas. Features at the attraction include a pebblestone-lined waterway that exudes a European-style vibe. The space is known for its gondola rides, reminiscent of a Venice, Italy, experience. It is said that a picture speaks a thousand words; the scenery at Mandalay Canal speaks volumes.

5. Mustangs of Las Colinas

Located at the center of Williams Square, the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum is known for its outdoor bronze sculpture of 9 larger-than-life wild mustangs, which has been documented as the largest equestrian sculpture in the world. How’s that for bragging rights!

6. Pioneer Plaza

Pioneer Plaza in downtown Dallas offers a glimpse into history, paying tribute to the settlers who first came to Dallas. The sculptures feature cowboys on horses and Texas longhorns in grassy terrain alongside a slow-moving stream. How’s that for a classic cowboy photo backdrop?

7. Dallas Sign

What better way to exemplify Dallas pride than by posing in front of this etched Seal of Dallas? Located at City Hall in downtown Dallas, it makes for a great “hey look, I’m in Dallas” photo.

8. Love Equation Mural

Located in the Bishop Arts District, the Love Equation Mural has made its way into scores of Pinterest boards and earned the title of an Instagram-worthy photo op. Will you make your way out there too?

9. Waterfront Near Dealey Museum

Located a stone’s throw away from the famous Dealey Museum in downtown Dallas, this man-made body of water is a welcome break from the monotony of skyscrapers and historic buildings the area is known for.

10. Delta Charlie’s

Interested in taking in a stunning aerial view of Dallas? At Delta Charlie’s, located within Dallas Executive Airport, you can enjoy a meal while watching the takeoff and landing of planes and later enjoy a 30-minute flight over Dallas. Cap the experience off with a photo session posing by a private plane. Can you say celebrity status vibes?

11. The Dallas Eyeball

Located in downtown Dallas and associated with the nearby Joule Hotel, the 30-foot giant eyeball is another unique Dallas landmark. Ideally, the best spot to get an unobstructed view of the eyeball is while on the terrace of the nearby Joule Hotel (you have to be a guest at the hotel). However, you can still capture some great images from outside the fence that surrounds it.

12. The Omni Dallas Hotel

Located downtown, the Omni Dallas Hotel is known for its eye-catching light displays that can be viewed from miles away. The hotel is also known for its hotel rooms that offer sweeping views of the Dallas cityscape. Additionally, from the hotel’s swimming pool area, you can catch a glimpse of another city landmark, Reunion Tower.

13. Gaylord Texan Resort

Everything is bigger in Texas? Truer words have never been spoken! The majestic frontal view of Gaylord Texan Resort makes for a larger-than-life photo shoot location. If you’re a guest at the hotel, or alternatively if you are visiting for a day experience, you can enjoy even more spots to capture beautiful photos within the property.

14. Fortunata Winery

About a 30-minute drive from Dallas, Fortunata Winery is located in the city of Aubrey. It makes for a great weekend getaway, complete with an ambiance that is reminiscent of old Tuscany. There are a wide array of photo spots within this little-known gem.

15. Lakeside Park

Located in the Highland Park suburb of Dallas, Lakeside Park is known for its giant teddy bears that are a hit with both kids and adults alike. It is hands down one of the cutest places in Dallas to take photos. Warning: You may not want to leave!

16. Sundance Square

The beauty of the Dallas-Fort Worth area is how different Fort Worth is from Dallas, but how equally intriguing both locations are. Known as an entertainment hub, Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth is a welcome burst of contemporary vibes in the historic city. Enjoy waterfalls, pools, murals, Western-wear shops and so many more sights that make for stunning photo spots.
