The 84th annual festival, thought to be the oldest such continuously-run contest in the nation, includes fiddle competitions in in five age divisions. There is a playoff among first-place winners of each division to determine the grand champion.
Includes an Acoustic Guitar Picking Competition for all ages starting at 6 p.m. Friday, plus a carnival, jam session and vendors that evening. The Fiddlers Contest begins at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Afterward, there's an evening concert and street dance with a country band.
