Copper Breaks State Park

This land has been cut by the Pease River into gullies, mesas and juniper breaks, where the Rolling Plains expand into wide-open spaces. Two small lakes offer fishing. Equestrian campers can take a 9.5-mile overland trail through the backcountry. This park is designated a National Dark Sky Park. Guided night walks are offered from April through October with its Star Walk program. The annual Horny Toad Cook off is held in April.
