This pre-dawn ceremony offers spectators and participants the unique opportunity to memorialize the men and women present at the Battle of the Alamo at the very time and place that the battle occurred 178 years ago. San Antonio Living History re-enactors are dressed in 1836 clothing and present a solemn ceremony. Includes a volley of fire from flintlock weapons. This year's event includes narration by Gary Foreman, performances by David Sutherland and Encore Youth Chorus, a wreath-laying by descendants, and other special presentations. Begins at 6 a.m. Alamo Plaza.
