Children and their families are tempted (or dared) to try the creepy, crawly delicacy of fried crickets. Hands-on art activities focus on the many cultures of our region and the main gallery exhibition. Visitors will learn about the current exhibit on view through hands-on art activities as well as Day of the Dead and make Latin American crafts such as decorated sugar skulls, cut paper designs and pinatas. Entertainment includes Latin American music and dancing. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Art Museum of Southeast Texas, 500 Main St.
