Fort Anahuac Park

Some traces remain of the Mexican fort built about 1831 by prisoners of the Mexican government. In one of the preliminary battles of the Texas Revolution, it was captured by William B. Travis. The park offers picnicking, camping, rest rooms and a boat ramp.
