Historic Granbury Square

The first buildings on the town square were made of locally milled "rawhide" lumber, which were replaced in the 1880s and 1890s by structures built of local limestone that stand today. The entire square site was the first in Texas to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Includes shops, restaurants and the historic Hood County Courthouse.
