This was Texas' first modern art museum. Originally focused on 19th- and 20th-century European and American art, it includes the late Marion Koogler McNay's art collection displayed in her Spanish Colonial Revival residence. The adjoining Jane and Arthur Stieren Center for Exhibitions features major exhibitions and a sculpture gallery.
