Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge

Established in 1935, this is Texas' oldest national wildlife refuge. Undisturbed shortgrass prairie habitat and three small rainwater lakes attract migratory birds and local wildlife. Great numbers of waterfowl and sandhill cranes are seen from fall to spring.
