Spencer Finch Art Exhibition: "Ulysses"

Spencer Finch is a world-renowned artist whose most recent work, "Trying To Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning," was commissioned by the National September 11 Memorial Museum. Finch is best known for ethereal light installations that reflect his experience of natural phenomena. He is a student of the nature of light, color, memory and perception; this study of light is reflected in his watercolors, drawings, video and photographs, as well as large-scale installations. For Marfa Contemporary, Finch creates a single, monumental work that comprises more than 1,000 Pantone chips that reflect one complete day of color sensations observed by Finch in Brooklyn, New York. The installation is divided into 18 sections, with each section exploring a specific idea of color theory.
