The Battleship TEXAS Centennial Celebration

This festival honors the Battleship "TEXAS" and her legendary history, and pays tribute to the surviving crew members who proudly served on the ship during World War II. Commissioned on March 12, 1914, the "TEXAS" served in both world wars and is the last remaining "dreadnought," or big-gun battleship. The festival includes concerts by Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison, Charlie Robison, Reckless Kelly and Robert Earl Keen. Hours are noon-10 p.m. San Jacinto Battleground Park, 3523 Independence Parkway South.
