The Sweeny-Waddy Cabin

This log cabin was built as the home of an enslaved African-American family who worked on John Sweeny's plantation. Mark and Larkin Waddy occupied it even after slavery was abolished in Texas in 1865, and family members lived here until 1953.

Buildings are open for viewing by appointment.
