Take a nostalgic trip back to Christmases of long ago in this holiday open house at the 1859 Goodman-LeGrand House and Museum. Learn about old-fashioned Christmas traditions on a tour of this 155-year-old historic landmark delightfully decorated for the holidays. You will be greeted by the Christmas Belles, meet the Goodman family and friends (wonderfully portrayed by costumed re-enactors), hear costumed carolers singing traditional songs, and listen to the music of violins and harp playing in the Gold Room formal parlor. Afterward, savor complimentary vintage treats such as hot wassail, gingerbread cookies, shortbread scones and holiday punch. Rides in a vintage horse-drawn carriage with bells are available for a fee.
