La Grange is a Texas Main Street City on the Texas Independence Trail and the Texas Settlement Trail. Downtown includes more than 30 preserved and restored historic buildings. The 1891 Romanesque Revival courthouse was originally designed by J. Riely Gordon. Antique and cabin-style bed-and-breakfast accommodations are available. The town is known for its bakeries specializing in kolaches. Golfers can take a swing at the nine-hole Frisch Auf!
