cities seguin

This is one of the oldest towns in Texas, where many German immigrants farmed cotton. Pecan production is a major local industry. Seguin became known for its unusual "limecrete" architecture around the time of the Civil War. Later, Victorian-style homes sprung up, and a 1930s oil boom financed many Depression-era public facilities still in use. Max Starcke Park offers a golf course, wave pool, walking trails and a paddling trail on the Guadalupe River. Annual events include ArtsFest in March, Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Parade, and Guadalupe County Fair and Rodeo and Pecan Fest both in October.

Open 8:30 a.m.-5 pm. Mon.-Fri. and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat.
