With a donation of lithographs by notable early Texas artists, art collectors, and patrons, Bill and Mary Cheek helped build San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts’ collection of Texas art (and the museum’s library and archives). With Bill’s passing in 2025, the museum and the art community across the state honor his legacy with this exhibit that features approximately 60 works in the museum’s permanent collection that were donated by the Cheeks, along with other early Texas gems.
