Heritage Day

Spend a day in Llano learning about the history of the area. Visit with buffalo soldiers and frontiersmen, take a real stagecoach ride around town, tour the historic Red Top Jail and Llano County Courthouse, and visit the Llano County Historical Museum housed in an old drug store complete with a soda fountain. Quilters display their work at a quilt show in the courthouse while various vendors sell their merchandise. Participate in the adult and children's period costume contest and cobbler-baking contest. Children can also enjoy games and crafts around Courthouse Square. Then relax on the lawn listening to Texas and German-style music and enjoy dancing, trick ropers, and other entertainment.
