The Friends of Gillespie County Country Schools, a nonprofit organization focused on the preservation of 12 one-room schoolhouses built in and around Fredericksburg between 1881 and 1936, hosts open houses from March through October. This month, the featured schools are Cherry Spring, Williams Creek (Albert), and Crabapple.
