Elgin's annual Juneteenth celebration kicks off with vendors in Veterans’ Memorial Park on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by the annual street dance starting at 8 p.m. and running through midnight. Juneteenth continues on Saturday with the Grand Parade, beginning at 10 a.m. The route goes through Historic Downtown Elgin. and ends with activities at Veterans’ Memorial Park.
