Attend the 41st annual Kolache Festival on the square in downtown Caldwell, always the second Saturday in September. Along with homemade kolaches, the event includes the crowning of Miss Kolache Festival followed by the SPJST youth Beseda dancers, a kolache eating contest, the kolache baking championship, a 5K Kolache Krunch run, and polka music. Plus, there are arts and crafts booths and food vendors, a quilt show, museum exhibitions, a street rods and classic car show, an antique machinery and tractor show, and a kids activity zone.
