"Still Brewing Art"

The San Antonio Museum of Art looks back at the its heady past as the Lone Star Brewery in "Still Brewing Art." The exhibition features historic photographs and artwork including large-format brewery posters. In addition, the exhibition explores San Antonio's history as a brewing city and how the San Antonio River fits into the story. Opened in 1884, the Lone Star Brewery was the first large, mechanized brewery in Texas. It ceased operations with the advent of Prohibition, and in 1981, the San Antonio Museum of Art opened in the renovated complex.
