Other competitions include the cross-cut saw contest, coffee cake bake off, and washer pitching. Visitors enjoy vintage autos and antique machinery along with many exhibits and demonstrations authentic to Wendish culture. Included are: sausage stuffing, sauerkraut making, soap making, noodle making, quilting, weaving, tatting, blacksmithing, and stone grinding corn meal on a 1918 grist mill. Two favorites are the Wendish Easter egg decorating and the German Christmas Market featuring local Serbin artisans. Entertainment features the Shiner Hobo Band. There is no admission fee for the festival. An authentic Wendish noon meal is served to thousands of attendees which includes the most popular homemade Wendish noodles.
