The Border is Beautiful Festival is a celebration of the bicultural art, music, and heritage in downtown Laredo. The family event is hosted by sister cities Laredo and Nuevo Laredo and seeks to bring together residents of neighboring South Texas border cities to celebrate the rich ecological and dynamic bicultural heritage that has shaped the Laredo region. Inside the Laredo Center for the Arts, attendees can view the "Art as Medicine" exhibit, Grammy-winning act Grupo Fantasma, an outdoor vendor market, delicious bites, and other festivities. Celebrate Earth Day with a night of music and unity as Laredo natives share the importance of the sister cities and highlights the Rio Grande and all the biodiversity it sustains.
