In 1995, a group of people from across the western United States created the Working Ranch Cowboys Association to promote ranching and preserve the lifestyle of the working cowboy. WRCA produces the annual World Championship Ranch Rodeo to showcase the skills of working ranch cowboys and to raise funds for the WRCA Foundation.
