One of the biggest events in the area, the 86th annual Watermelon Festival and Rodeo, held every year on the last full weekend of July, features sweet East Texas melons, a parade, arts and craft booths, largest watermelon contest, a rodeo with PRCA-sanctioned and local events, an antique car show, and other festivities.
