Located originally on the old Chisholm Trail, the village was moved to higher ground when Lake Travis was formed. Now it offers several miles of shoreline on Lake Travis (see AUSTIN). It has full-service marinas, bed-and-breakfasts, weekend rentals and public boat ramps. The area offers views of the lake and the canyons of the Colorado River. A scenic drive on F.M. 2769 or Lime Creek Road is favored by motorcyclists and bicyclists.
